As today goes on i realize how many of my friends are not only hurting...but hurting others as well, some intentionally and others unintentionally. Either way, I think as I've gotten older and seen so much hate and hurt go on in my own family I've learned some valuable lessons in having ANY kind of relationship with another person even if its just walking by a person you don't know....smiles are contagious =) Many of my friends think that its a "downfall" of mine that I am quiet and not outspoken, I have to disagree. I just think on a normal day to day basis we should really listen more than we talk. actually take in the words that others around us are saying and put our selves in their positions. I'm sure everyone has heard the saying God gave you 2 ears and only 1 mouth so you should listen twice as much as you talk. The one word that comes to my mind here is RESPECT. Respect is simply taking someone else's feelings into consideration. If everyone was respectful there would be tons less conflict in life. Something that kind of goes hand in hand with that...just because you think it, doesn't mean you have to say it. Respect also needs to be present in our everyday actions, we need to remember that everything we do affects the people around us. Yes we may have a goal that we are working toward accomplishing but are we really willing and selfish enough to hurt those we care about to accomplish that goal. more than likely, NO we aren't....we just haven't slowed down enough to think ahead of time what or who our words or actions will affect. I pray that everyone will slow down a little today to think about your ACTIONS and EVERY WORD that comes out of your mouth or that you type to people you do know and even people you simply come in contact with. Negativity is sickening thing....so take a minute to evaluate your life and the way you present yourself out in the world and here on the internet. lets try to make our lives positive, loving and caring instead of negative.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God" Matthew 5:9....hope everyone has a wonderful day! ;)
